- But First.... A few words from a folder... & then the listings BELOW: - While Learning to fold, or new models, think larger paper, NOT smaller!
- Use 6 X 6" squares or 10 X 10! - Learn how to make a square from rectangle or 8 1/2 X 11 sheets!
- Origami paper is great for new folders to start with. - Folding the model again? now try new papers, different textures!
- Consider recycled paper for instance old National Geographic Magazines or pages from similiar glossy stock of other similar weight magazine pages. Try wrapping paper to make your squares! - Use heavier stock or thicker paper only after you are a little experience with most folding techniques. (avoids frustration)
- Learn your model on regular folding paper before you fold the fancy & expensive papers! - Shop ONLINE, local craft stores, paper & art supply stores, EBay, yes and Amazon for books and supplies, & origami "tools".
- If you are close to Asian communities - shop those stores, even grocery & discount stores carry cheaper, but great folding papers in packages!
And MY RULE NO. 1... You can never have too much paper!!! |
