Michael Justin Turner was taken from us on October 10, 2003, while riding his beloved motorcycle   He lived in Pasadena since he was nine months old, and attended schools throughout the Pasadena area, including Pasadena City College and Monrovia's Mt. Sierra College.

Michael was an active volunteer with the Pasadena Police Department, and had hoped to join the reserves.  He was a graduate of the Citizen's Police Academy and an Active member of the department's COPS Program. Michael was also a HAM Radio Operator and his call of KF6MUZ will be missed.

He is survived by his parents, Barbara Turner and Wolf Hodgkinson.

Let us not forget the impressions and gifts this young mand gave to each of us.  And, let us live our lives a little better and fuller than before.

Mike would want this for us!  I will remember my son Justin, with love & hard work, to keep his memory alive and make his short life an inspiration for others.
                                             Mom
I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I can live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.   I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live.  I rejoice in life for its own sake.  Life is no "brief candle" to me.  It is a splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.             George Bernard Shaw
Quotes from Michael Justin, as a young boy from his writings...

About people getting along,  "A lot of times people don't understand someone else who is different.  Sometimes we are afraid of what we don't understand." My boy understood.

About his plans: "The most important par of my big plans is to be kind and generous to my fellow mankind."    He lived this one!

To My Son,   Thank you from your mother!  You gave me joy, you taught me how to love, you made me proud, & you shared so much with me & your Dad of your wisdom.  We love you!
I give you this
one thought to keep -
I am with you still,
I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glint on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you awaken
in morning's hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars
that shine at night.

Do not think of me as gone
I am will you still,
in each new dawn.

  Happy in life,
  Enthusiastic about work,
Ready to do so much each day!

When Mike was a small boy, we played a game to help us make the long walk home each nite...
