At Rafu Bussan you will find good paper selections, great books, and the ladies are most helpful here as well.  In Little Tokyo also, call ahead for days they are open.

In Pasadena Old Town, Shizu has an impressive selection of papers including Washi, kits, & more. Priced a little more for some papers. their selection is impressive!
Shizu is located on the south side of Colorado Blvd in Old Town.   You will find big public parking facilities within walking distance of this shop. 
  Bun-ka Do & Rafu Bussan are within easy walking distance of each other.  Park in the Japanese Village Plaza public parking & as both stores will validate your ticket with purchase.  .

In Pasadena you will find Yoshino... there you can purchase origami cranes on bases or hanging for decoration. 
The store is filled with authenic & wonderful items & worth a visit.

The Marukai Store - Corporation in Gardena has a good selection of origami paper ( in addition to Japanese food items, ceramics, health-related products, cosmetics, furniture, kimonos, and antiques)  Click on the photo for more store locations and details. 
Michael's  also carries some packets of origami paper.   Some stores carry more than others, some have origami kits as well.   As your local store to stock origami papers & check out their stationery & scrapbooking papers for your folding!  Click on the Michaels logo for information on a store near you.  Here also you can purchase beads, wire & other crafts items to use in enhancing & displaying your origami.
